On September 29, the collection of outstanding short video works of "Telling Chinese Stories Well in Foreign Languages" for college students in 2024, jointly organized by Nanjing University and Hunan University and Higher Education Press, was successfully concluded under the guidance of China English-Chinese Comparative Research Association。Two students from Mingde Academy, Lei Yue and Li Han, stood out and won the national special prize. Two teachers from the School of Foreign Languages, Zhang Lihua and Zhang Jian, were awarded "Excellent Instructors".。

Since its launch in April this year, the collection of outstanding short video works of college students "Telling Chinese Stories in Foreign Languages" has attracted 5,053 college students from 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, covering 919 universities such as Peking University, Wuhan University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Hunan University。In the end, 72 works from 71 universities entered the national offline exchange activities, and a total of 18 special prizes were selected。

With the core theme of "Science and Innovation in my Eyes", the competition aims to inspire young college students to strengthen their cultural confidence, tell Chinese stories well, and enhance the international transmission of Chinese civilization。Lei Yue and Li Han completed the new "One Party Dyeing Cloth" Memory "based on the technology of the main creator's growth experience.，The new vitality of Chinese intangible cultural heritage given by science and technology and the spirit of Chinese artisans;Zhu Shuxian, Gao Yuan, Lin Shiwen, Wang Zinuo, Zhang Hao completed the "Science and I - The Story of the Challenge Cup Digital Human Team" based on the events around the main creator.，Show the realistic momentum and contemporary significance of science and technology innovation。The two works won the special prize and the first prize respectively in the Beijing Competition for their unique perspective, careful production and professional English language skills.
